  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 stalks lemongrass, sliced
  • 2 sachets 8g MAGGI® MAGIC SARAP®
  • 1 ½ kg chicken legs
  • 1 pc red chili
  • 1 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 4 pcs shallots, peeled
  • 1 thumb-size ginger, peeled
  • 2 pcs lime, juice and zest
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 cups rice flour
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 8 cups vegetable oil
Step 1
Combine water, lime juice, lime zest, lemongrass, ginger, turmeric, shallots, garlic, chili, MAGGI® MAGIC SARAP®, soy sauce, pepper and sugar in a blender. Purée until smooth.
Step 2
Pour marinade to the chicken and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
Step 3
Coat chicken with rice flour. Fry in preheated oil until golden brown. Set aside to drain excess oil. Transfer on a serving plate and serve with sweet chili sauce.
