1. Sauté onion in 1 tbsp of vegetable oil until light golden brown. Set aside.
2. Season sirloin with 2 tbsp MAGGI® SOY COOKING & SEASONING SAUCE and pepper. Sear sirloin in batches until golden brown and set aside.
3. Add oil and sauté garlic in the same pan. Add seared beef, remaining 4 tbsp of MAGGI® SOY COOKING & SEASONING SAUCE , sugar, calamansi juice and water. Cover with water and simmer for 1 hour or until tender. Remove cover and continue to simmer until sauce is slightly thick.
4. Transfer into a serving plate and garnish with sautéed onion.
