Laing

High in iron and with just a little bit of spice, Laing is a sure-hit Pinoy favorite.

INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 kilo pork belly, sliced
1 head garlic, minced
1 pc large onion, small diced
1 pc thumb size ginger, minced
3 pcs finger chili, biased
2 pcs red chili, biased
2 tbsp shrimp paste
3 cups coconut milk
40 pcs gabi leaves, shredded
2 cups coconut cream
2 sachet MAGGI Magic Sarap®
1/4 kilo shrimps, peeled and deveined

Directions

1. Sauté pork belly in oil until golden brown. Add garlic, onion, ginger, finger chili and red chili and sauté for 2 minutes.

2. Add shrimp paste and sauté for another minute. Pour coconut milk and bring to simmer. Stir in gabi leaves and simmer for 30 minutes. Add coconut cream and continue to simmer until sauce has reduced.

3. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP and stir in shrimp. Simmer for 1 minute. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve.
