Sinampalukang Manok

If your family enjoys the sour flavor of sampaloc, try preparing this Sinampalukang Manok for your next special occasion!

INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 pc onion, large diced
2 pcs tomato, large diced
2 pcs thumb-size ginger, julienned
2 pcs green and red finger chili
1 whole whole chicken, cut into 10 pieces
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 liter water
1 cup tamarind leaves, rinsed and chopped
1 cup 2-inch pieces sitaw
1 pack 22g MAGGI MAGIC SINIGANG Original

Directions

1. Heat oil in a pot and sauté onion, tomato, ginger and finger chili for 5 minutes. 

2. Add chicken and fish sauce. Cover and cook for 10 minutes while stirring every few minutes. 

3. Pour water, bring to a boil and skim the scum. Stir in tamarind leaves and simmer for 15 minutes. 

4. Add sitaw and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in MAGGI MAGIC SINIGANG. Transfer into and serving bowl and serve.
