Ginataang Tulingan

With this Ginataang Tulingan recipe, enjoy the freshness of this fish with smooth coconut cream for lunch or dinner with the family.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 kg cleaned tulingan
2 sachets 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
2 tbsp vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc thumb-size ginger, crushed
2 pcs green finger chili
2 pcs red finger chili
1 pc onion, julienned
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
2 cups water
1 cup coconut cream

Directions

1. Break and remove tails of tulingan. Score and season with 1 sachet of MAGGI MAGIC SARAP® and set aside.

2. Sauté garlic, ginger, finger chili and onion in oil for 2 minutes. Add tulingan and continue to cook for another 2 minutes. Pour vinegar and add pepper. Gently simmer for 5 minutes.

3. Pour water and continue to simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Turn fish every 5 minutes for even cooking. 

4. Pour coconut cream and season with remaining 1 sachet of MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®. Continue to simmer for another 2 minutes. Transfer into a serving plate and serve.
