Not many dishes make use of banana heart, but this Ginataang Puso ng Saging is a definite must-try!
1. Sauté garlic, onion, ginger, finger chili and pork belly in oil for 5 minutes. Add bagoong and sauté for 2 minutes. Pour vinegar and simmer for 2 minutes.
2. Add banana heart and continue to sauté for 2 minutes. Pour water and simmer uncovered until tender (approximately 20 minutes).
3. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP® and pour coconut cream. Simmer for 2 minutes. Transfer into a serving plate and serve.
Banana heart is a good source of potassium. Potassium helps regulate blood pressure.

2 tbsp vegetable oil
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 pc onion, small diced
2 pcs thumb-size ginger, julienned
2 pcs green finger chili, biased
2 pcs red finger chili, biased
100 g sliced pork belly
1 tbsp bagoong alamang
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 kg shredded banana heart
2 cups water
1 sachet 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
1 cup coconut cream
