The different flavors in this dish complement the Steamed Whole Fish without being too heavy. Try it for dinner!
1. Season snapper with MAGGI® Magic Isda. Stuff with lemongrass, ginger, onion and garlic.
2. Place in a plate and cook in a steamer for 10 – 15 minutes. Remove from the steamer and set aside to rest. Reserve liquid and aromatic vegetables.
3. Combine water, MAGGI® SOY COOKING & SEASONING SAUCE, reserved aromatic vegetables, liquid from fish in a pot and sugar. Bring to simmer and cook until slightly thick. Strain into another pan and finish with sesame oil. Check seasoning.
4. Pour sauce on the fish and garnish with cilantro and scallions. Serve immediately.
Steaming is considered a healthy cooking method. Why? Because it helps you reduce your total fat intake since you do not need to add oil to cook.

1 pc ½ kg cleaned snapper, scored
1/2 sachet 8g MAGGI MAGIC ISDA®
1 stalk lemongrass, pounded and tied
2 pcs thumb-size ginger, crushed
1 pc small onion, sliced
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 cup water
3 tbsp MAGGI® SOY COOKING & SEASONING SAUCE
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp brown sugar
3 sprigs cilantro
1 stalk scallions, biased
