Creamy Mushroom and Bacon Spaghetti

When the situation calls for something familiar, go for a creamy spaghetti dish like this.

INGREDIENTS

1/4 kg bacon crumble
1 pack 200g Amigo spaghetti
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 pc onion, small diced
1 can small can mushroom slices, rinsed and drained
1 pc 250 ml Nestlé Fresh Milk
1/2 cup Nestlé All Purpose Cream
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp grated cheese
1 sachet MAGGI MAGIC Sarap®
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp freshly ground pepper
1 tbsp minced parsley

Directions

1. Cook bacon in a pan to render fat. Strain bacon bits and set aside.

2. Cook spaghetti according to package direction.

3. Meanwhile, sauté garlic, onion and mushroom in the same pan with bacon fat for 5 minutes. Pour Nestlé Fresh Milk, Nestlé All Purpose Cream and water. Stir in cheese and bring to gentle simmer. Season with MAGGI MAGIC Sarap, nutmeg and pepper.

4. Strain spaghetti and toss in the sauce. Finish with parsley. Transfer into a serving plate and garnish with bacon bits.

GOOD TO KNOW:

You may also use flat noodles such as fettuccine or linguini instead of the round spaghetti noodles.
