Cheesy Spaghetti

INGREDIENTS

125 grams bacon
2 tsp annatto seeds (atsuete)
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 cup water
1 pack 250 ml Nestlé All Purpose Cream
4 tbsp cheese, grated
1 sachet 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
1/4 kg spaghetti

Directions

1.  Render bacon until crisp. Strain and set aside. Combine bacon fat, annatto seeds and butter. Gently heat for 5 minutes and strain into a sauce pot.

2.  Stir in water, Nestlé All Purpose Cream and 3 tbsp of cheese. Simmer until thick. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®.

3.  Boil pasta according to package direction.

4.  Strain spaghetti toss in the sauce. Transfer on a serving plate, grate 1 tbsp of cheese, top with bacon bits and serve.

Yield: 4-6 servings

GOOD TO KNOW:

Small cuts of vegetable like broccoli, corn kernels, carrot or green peas may be added.
