Chicken Afritada

Put the tada in the MAGIC afritada recipe and serve this savory this for tonight's dinner!

INGREDIENTS

1/2 pc small red bell pepper, large diced
1/2 pc small green bell pepper, large diced
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 cup water
1 sachet MAGGI MAGIC CHICKEN®
1 pc bay leaf
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 pc small onion, small diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 kg boneless chicken thigh, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 pc small carrot, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 pc small potato, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1/8 tsp fresh ground pepper

Directions

1. Sauté potato and carrot in 1 tbsp oil until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

2. Season chicken with 1/2 sachet of MAGGI MAGIC Chicken. Sear chicken in 1 tbsp of oil, remove and set aside.

3. Sauté garlic, onion, red and green bell pepper and bay leaf in remaining 1 tbsp of oil for 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce, water and seared chicken. Cover and gently simmer for 20 minutes.

4. Add potato and carrot. Season with remaining ½ sachet of MAGGI MAGIC Chicken, pepper and sugar. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Transfer into a serving plate and serve.
