  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms, rinsed well
  • 2 pcs green finger chili
  • 1 kg large shrimps, peeled and deveined
  • 2 thumb size ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp chili paste
  • 1 pack 22g MAGGI® MAGIC SINIGANG® Original Sampaloc Mix
  • 1 pc lime, into wedges
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 6 sprigs cilantro, picked
  • 2 stalks lemongrass, 1-inch biased
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 pc lime, peeled
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Step 1
Heat oil in a pot and sauté shrimp shells. Crush heads to extract more of its flavor. Pour water, bring to a boil, skim the scum and simmer for 30 minutes. Strain into another pot.
Step 2
Add chili paste, lemongrass, ginger, lime peels and finger chili. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Pour MAGGI® MAGIC SINIGANG® Original Sampaloc Mix and season with fish sauce and sugar.
Step 4
Add mushrooms, shrimp and coconut cream and simmer for 1 minute. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve with cilantro and lime wedges.
